What is change, exactly? Change is a difference that is sustained, and over time becomes the new norm.

Why is sustained change difficult?  We humans are complex!  At least four realms are at play, all the time.  To sustain and integrate change, we pay attention to:

  • internal me - my thoughts, beliefs, feelings, sensations
  • external me - my body, behavior
  • social  - my people, relationships, culture, social systems
  • environment - my physical surroundings, objects, and sense of time

Any change has an impact in all four realms.  But, we naturally seek a "sameness" of experience in each realm.  This tells us:  I am "me" because... I think like this, I feel like this, I sense my body like this, I relate with others like this, I like this place and these things.  Any changes to our sameness - we don't feel like ourselves.  Feeling off-balance, uncomfortable in our mind, in our body, in our spirit, we back down.  Nothing sustained... no change.

What is Integral Coaching?  It's an approach to human development that emphasizes the whole person - all realms of your experience.  Current successes and challenges are a reflection of themes that are present in all aspects of your life.  Integral Coaching develops awareness, skill, and capacity, which in turn generates ease, deepens your experience, opens new possiblities, and brings forth your innermost being or essence.  It allows for an ever-growing sense of fulfillment, meaning, and interconnectedness.

Why is Integral Coaching effective? Because ...

...it doesn't leave anything out.  It helps align "all of you" in support of your goals and development.

... it combines practice activities with reflection and inquiry.  Practice activities start from where you are, and build from there.  Reflection and inquiry deepen your understanding and experience.

... its activities are directed towards clear outcomes.

... it provides you with a rare and powerful experience of being seen, heard and supported for who you really are.  Relationship, trust, compassion and wisdom are its hallmarks.

... its methodology has been developed with rigor, and is solidly grounded in philosophy, biology, psychology, linguistics, history, and spirituality, and more.
